Honestly? Probably longer than you'll own the house. We're talking 40-70 years depending on the panel. Meanwhile, shingle roofs around Billings are lucky to make it 15-20 years before the hail gets them. You do the math on that one.

We get this one all the time. Short answer: no. With the underlayment and insulation we put under every job, you really can't tell the difference. Honestly, most people forget they even have a metal roof until they look up at it.

Way better than shingles, that's for sure. A big hailstone might leave a small dent in metal, but it's not going to crack it open or blow granules off like it does with asphalt. Some of our customers have actually gotten their insurance rates lowered after switching over.

Yeah, it costs more upfront — usually about double what shingles run. But you're putting on one roof instead of three over the next 50 years. When you add it all up, metal is actually cheaper in the long run. Plus you're not dealing with getting re-roofed every 15 years.

Yep, we do this all the time. We'll come look at your roof for free, take photos, write up all the damage, and sit down with your adjuster when they come out. We've dealt with pretty much every insurance company at this point. It's really not as painful as people think.

Sometimes, yeah. If you've only got one layer of shingles and the decking is solid, we can often go right over it. Saves you money on the tear-off. But if it's sketchy underneath, we'll tell you. We'd rather do it right than have problems later.
